On November 19th, 2023 around 10 am, around 30 Cologne Unit members came together in Solingen. First of all, under the guidance of Maria Solomon, everyone started shaping the Pidi into small balls. Meanwhile, our program coordinator Ajay Mathew told and informed about the history and the cultural context. After this was finished, everyone was divided into four different groups and played various games and had fun. A meeting was held around 1:30 pm At the beginning, Vice President Amal Tomy welcomed everyone. Our Joint Secretary Anargha Saji then presented the minutes from the Unit Formation and our Treasurer Anish Rajesh listed the costs. GKCYL Cologne Unit President Jency Johnson gave a speech. Afterwards, GKCYL Director Chinju Anna Raju, GKCYL President Nidhin Shaji, GKCYL Treasurer Tobias and GKCYL executive member Merin addressed some motivating words to the members. Seara's brother (Cologne Unit Member), Stebin, then reported a bit about how he perceives the community and how the GKCYL community has developed. Based on his experiences, he conveyed important values and appealed for active participation. Finally, Ajay thanked everyone and the meeting ended. To celebrate the one year anniversary of CJ Events, led by Chinju Anna and her husband Jibu, a cake was cut and shared with everyone. Now we ate. Everyone enjoyed a pumpkin soup as a starter and Pidi & Kozhi together. To celebrate the day, a Chanthamcharth was organized for our Cologne Unit member Julbin. Everyone took part and everyone had their job. Since he is about to get married, everyone wanted to please him by imitating the customs and traditions. To end the evening, a DJ played music and many members danced and celebrated to the music. The meeting and the successful day ended around 6:30 pm and everyone headed home.
GKCYL Köln Unit traditionelles Foodfestival -Pidi & Kozhi
Am 19.11.2023 fand das GKCYL Köln Unit Foodfestival statt. Es war sehr bunt, aufregend, spaßig und sättigend. Von der Herstellung von Pidi & Kozhi, über diverse Spiele, ging es zur Chanthamcharth von Julbin und der DJ-Party am Abend.
