Solingen,07.10.2023 : The GKCYL Cologne Unit came together for a day of unity and celebration as they marked the formation of their new leadership team. The event, led by GKCYL President Nidhin Shaji Vechuvettikkal and Director Chinju Anna Poovathel, was a resounding success, with 28 enthusiastic members participating in the festivities. The day kicked off with the selection of the unit's new leaders who were warmly welcomed into their roles. Here is the newly appointed leadership team:

These dedicated individuals are set to lead the unit forward, and the community is eagerly anticipating the positive changes they will bring. The event was inaugurated with Director Chinju Anna Poovathel lighting candles, symbolizing the unit's commitment to unity and progress. GKCYL President Nidhin Shaji cut the celebratory cake, which was shared with all participants. President Jency Johnson discussed upcoming events, including the Rosary of Cologne Unit scheduled for 12.10.2023 and the much-anticipated GKCYL Christmas celebration in Frankfurt on 28.12.2023. Community members engaged in lively discussions about the unit's future and ways to enhance its growth. After the constructive discussions, everyone came together to plan a traditional Knanaya food-making event, "Pidi and Kozhi," scheduled for 19.11.2023.

The celebration continued with a series of cultural performances that showcased the rich heritage and talents within the Cologne Unit. Participants then enjoyed a delicious meal together before embarking on an excursion to Münchener Brücke around 4 o'clock. There, they engaged in various outdoor activities and games. The event concluded at 7 pm, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a sense of togetherness.
