Berlin: A youth conference called "DACH" was organized for the Knanaya youth of Germany, Austria and Switzerland via Zoom under the leadership of KCYL Germany on 22nd August 2021. DACH (D-A-CH) is a combination of the initials of Germany (Deutschland), Austria (Austria) and Switzerland (Confoederatio Helvetica). The association aims to bring together young people growing up in the unique Knanaya tradition and faith, foster mutual friendships and strengthen the Knanaya community on European soil. Merin P welcomed the meeting. Germany KCYL Chaplain Fr. Binoy Koottanal delivered the introductory speech. His Excellency Geevarghese Mar Afrem presided over the meeting and reminded the youth that the Knanaya community is based on immigration and that the community's tradition and identity should be held firmly in Europe.
